Tennis Racket Stringing Service FAQ's

What tension should I choose for my tennis racket?

Lower tensions (45–52 lbs) offer more power and comfort, while higher tensions (53–60+ lbs) provide more control and precision. If you’re unsure, we can recommend a tension based on your playing style and level.

What is the best tennis string for my game?

It depends on how you play:

  • Power & comfort: multifilament strings
  • Control & durability: polyester strings
  • All-round performance: hybrid setups

If you’re unsure, we’re happy to recommend a setup.

What is a hybrid string setup?

A hybrid setup combines two different strings (usually polyester and multifilament) to balance control, comfort and durability. This is a popular option for intermediate and advanced players.

How often should I restring my tennis racket?

A good rule is to restring as many times per year as you play per week. Regular players may need more frequent restringing to maintain performance.

Can you help me choose the right setup?

Yes β€” if you’re unsure which string or tension to choose, send us a message and we’ll recommend the best option for your game.

Do you offer different string brands?

Yes, we offer a range of high-quality tennis strings from leading brands, covering power, control, spin and durability preferences.

How long does a restring take?

Turnaround depends on whether you choose local or postal service, but most restrings are completed quickly.

For postal details, see our postal tennis restringing page.
